(Conflict of Interest Disclaimer: Reiner is my distant Pokemon Go buddy) The title Proper Description of Thrust-Fencing with the Single Rapier really lets you know what to expect. Another manual based heavily on Fabris (the author claims to have learned to fence from someone who was a direct student of the grandmaster!), this one does an excellent job organizing its information in a way more resembling a process map than most other manuals. It is very instructive in a step-by-step fashion, which could seem overwhelming until you work through what's being said. It's a clean and easy to understand translation, with good translator's notes. Where the original text was not clear, van Noort lets the reader know and tells them why he made the choices he did. There is even an errata page he updates as needed, which is a testimony to the intellectual honesty behind this work. The real treasure trove here is a huge section not on theory, or plates, but actual lessons. These lessons are laid out in a clear, coherent, and organization fashion and provide drills to develop the skills described throughout the manual-- but with no guesswork on the part of the student. If having a fencing curriculum handed to you has appeal, look no further! Proper Description of Thrust-Fencing with the Single Rapier, by Reiner van Noort

It also gives further advice on proceeding with resolution, if you're especially ambitious.
